ARRESTS
7/10/2025- Meeker PD arrested a 60-year-old male for Driving Under the Influence. He was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
CALL SUMMARIES
7/6/2025 @ 8:54 am. A pet owner thought maybe a deer was out to get her when it stomped on her dog. Colorado Division of Wildlife was notified. It is unknown if the dog was injured.
7/9/2025 @ 1:33 pm. A male party knocking on doors requesting money to send flowers to Veterans was contacted by Meeker PD. Upon the officer’s questioning, it appeared the request was valid.
7/10/2025 @ 10:58 pm. A routine traffic stop turned into a DUI arrest for Meeker PD. The driver was taken into custody, issued a summons and released to a sober party.
7/11/2025 @ 7:51 am. A call came into the Communications Center about a highly suspicious male party giving his van a surprise makeover on the side of the road. Because nothing says “totally innocent” like painting your vehicle in broad daylight next to a highway. Two deputies responded to the area, prepared for anything from a rogue artist to a budget-conscious body shop. After making contact, they determined that while the timing and location were questionable, the individual wasn’t doing anything illegal—just a little roadside rebranding.
7/11/2025 @ 1:05 pm. There was a small fire near Sleepy Cat Peak on White River National Forest. The fire was estimated to be 3/4 of an acre. The fire was contained as of the evening of 7/13/2025, with the aid of Smoke Jumpers from the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire Management Unit.
7/12/2025 @ 3:57 pm. A go-kart driver was stopped by a deputy on County Road 4. The driver was issued a summons for Driving an Uninsured Vehicle, Drove a Vehicle While Driver’s License Revoked, and Unsafe Vehicle. The go-kart was towed and impounded as this was not the first time this driver had been issued a citation for these same reasons.
