CALL SUMMARIES
6/15/2025 @ 12:39 pm. A single-vehicle rollover was reported on Highway 64 at mile marker 10. The driver stated she lost control while applying makeup. She was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
6/16/2025 @ 2:34 pm. A county resident reported seeing a blue and white drone flying approximately 12 feet above ground and a WREA vehicle in the area. It was discovered that WREA had contractors flying a drone for power line inspection. Other concerned citizens had also reported sightings of this same drone.
6/16/2025 @ 8:42 pm. Dispatch received a teletype from Garfield County about 50 head of elk with their calves seen near a pond on the side of the road. The reporting party requested the elk be chased off due to concerns they would impede traffic. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the herd.
6/20/2025 @8:39 am. A truck was reported rolled on its side against trees and a fence on County Road 4 near mile-marker 6. No one was found at the scene. Deputies contacted the vehicle owner who claimed he had not seen the truck since the previous night and was unaware it was missing. After an interview, it was discovered that shoe imprints matching a pair he normally wears, were on the truck’s window, indicating he climbed out of the wreckage. The owner was cited for careless driving and failure to report an accident.
6/20/2025 @12:35 pm. A traffic complaint was reported by a Rangely Police Officer traveling south on Highway 13 near mile marker 27. His radar detected a Camaro traveling 105 mph. When the driver rolled into Meeker to stop for tacos, he was contacted by a deputy. He was issued a summons.
