CALL SUMMARIES

6/8/2025 @ 4:23 pm. A suspicious looking snake with a “fat head” was reported to Meeker PD. An officer arrived on scene (maybe a little relieved) only to find the snake was gone on arrival.

6/9/2025 @ 10:42 pm. A truck hit a cow at the 41 mile-marker on Highway 139. The truck and cow didn’t fair so well, however the occupants were uninjured.

6/10/2025 @ 5:06 am. A boulder the size of a “Prius” was reported to the Communications Center near the 48 mile-marker on Highway 13. Moments later, a truck hit the large boulder. All 3 occupants sustained injuries and were airlifted to the hospital.

6/11/2025 @ 4:49 pm. A smoke report came into the Communications Center near the 36 mile-marker on Highway 13. A deputy responded and advised it was a single tree fire with no flames, only smoke. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept responded to put the fire out and cleared the scene at 7:30 pm.

6/11/205 @ 6:45 am. Several of our deputies had the opportunity to assist our local ranching community in a unique way. While it wasn’t a typical law enforcement matter, they provided traffic control on Highway 13 to ensure the safe movement of cattle. This was a great chance to engage with and support our agricultural neighbors.
