ARRESTS
3/10/2025- Rangely PD arrested a 43 year-old male on a felony warrant for theft. He was released on a cash/surety bond.
3/15/2025-Meeker PD arrested a 41 year-old male for 2nd degree assault. He remains in custody.
CALL SUMMARIES
3/10/2025 @ 6:14 pm. An 18 year-old disabled male was reported missing from his residence. He was located safe and sound approximately 15 minutes after the initial call.
3/13/2025 @ 9:29 am. An unattended campfire was reported near Highway 64 and County Road 142. Upon the deputies arrival it appeared that someone had in fact been camping in the area.
3/14/2025 @ 9:28 am. Snowy conditions prompted a panicked driver to call 911 when he was unable to see the road. He was driving a Ford F450 Dually and asked the dispatcher what he should do. He decided to pull over in a safe spot and wait for a snow plow to make another pass.
3/14/2025 @ 8:32 pm. A two vehicle car accident occurred right in front of a deputy who was on routine patrol. The accident was near the 29 mile-marker on Highway 13. Three people had minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.
3/15/2025 @ 3:00 am. A physical disturbance occurred at an address in the town limits of Meeker. The female victim sustained minor injuries. The male party was arrested and transported to jail.
There were a total of 4 car vs. deer car accidents and 1 car vs elk accident. No injuries were reported.
