There were 2 arrests this week. A 36-year-old female was arrested 3/19/2023 on a warrant. She bonded the same day. A 57-year-old female was arrested on 3/19/2023 on a warrant. She also bonded the same day.
CALL SUMMARIES
3/19/2023 @ 10:45 am. A female party was arrested without incident by Meeker PD on a warrant arrest in the town limits of Meeker.
3/19/2023 @ 11:47 am. A female party was arrested without incident by Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant arrest.
3/19/2023 @ 1:48 pm. A verbal disturbance was reported in the 1300 block of Market St. Meeker PD along with Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate. No arrests were made.
3/19/2023 @ 2:27 pm. A search and rescue was initiated in the area of the Buford/New Castle Road. A juvenile snowmobiler was assumed to be lost. The juvenile was found in a nearby parking lot safe and sound.
3/19/2023 @ 3:16 pm. A juvenile was issued a summons for dropping/throwing bricks from a roof of a building in downtown Meeker.
3/20/2023 @ 8:18 am. What might have been a ghost was called into law enforcement at the restrooms located at a park in the town of Meeker. The information given was that there was a male party locked in the restroom. The lights had been off for some time and are motion s ensored. Law enforcement checked all restrooms on the premises and did not find anyone.
3/20/2023 @ 5:13 pm. A deputy came upon an accident that had just occurred at approximately the 20-mile marker on Highway 13. Two vehicles were involved. One driver had fallen asleep and went into oncoming traffic. There were minor injuries although nobody was transported by ambulance. Colorado State Patrol investigated the crash.
3/21/2023 @ 1:02 am. Rio Blanco County Communications received a noise complaint in the early morning hours regarding someone that was plowing their driveway in the town limits of Meeker. Upon the officer’s arrival it was brought to his attention that the neighbor had plowed out everyone on his side of the road. No action was taken.
3/21/2023 @ 2:08 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Colorado State Patrol on a DUI arrest near the 36 mile-marker on Highway 13.
3/22/2023 @ 5:01 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with checking on a vacant building that was reported to possibly have people living inside in the town limits of Rangely. The property and building were clear.
