RIO HAPPENINGS: March 24-30, 2024

ARRESTS

A 55 year-old male was transported from Clark County Detentions on  

3/26/2024 on a Felony Rio Blanco Warrant. He remains in custody. 

A 30 year-old male was arrested on 3/28/2024 by Rangely PD on 2 out of  county warrants and taken to jail.

CALL SUMMARIES

3/24/2024 @ 6:26 pm. A newborn calf was on the wrong side of the fence  on County Road 4. A passerby waited with the baby until an owner could  come get it. 

3/26/2024 @ 7:01 am. A box truck and snow plow collided inside the town  limts of Meeker on Highway 13. No injuries were reported.  

3/28/2024 @ 4:17 pm. A male party called 911 requesting help with finding  a shelter. He was walking on Highway 64 about the 5 mile-marker. While on  the phone with the dispatcher the male party was picked up and given a  ride.  

3/28/2024 @ 5:22 pm. The same male party from the above call was  located at the Loaf n Jug in Rangely and arrested on two warrants and  transported to jail.  

3/30/2024 @ 10:58 pm. A boulder the size of a large truck tire was removed  by a deputy at the 27 mile-marker County Road 8. The same deputy had  also removed several rocks earlier in his shift at the 17 mile-marker County  Road 5.
