ARRESTS
There was one arrest this week. Rangely PD arrested a male party for a protection order violation. He was summoned and released.
CALL SUMMARIES
3/27/2023 @ 9:35 am. A one vehicle rollover crash was reported at approximately the 23 mile-marker on Highway 64. The single occupant refused an ambulance.
3/27/2023 @ 8:22 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD at the Rangely District Hospital with an arrest.
3/29/2023 @ 5:09 am. A caller reported a male party walking southbound near the 36 mile-marker on Highway 13. A deputy was dispatched to the area and was unable to find anybody.
3/29/2023 @ 9:50. A caller reported that a bear had been hit at the 60 mile-marker on Highway 64. Upon the deputy’s arrival the bear turned out to be a deceased elk.
3/29/2023 @ 4:14 pm. A large rock was called in that was blocking the southbound lanes at the 55 mile-marker Highway 13. CDOT responded and moved the rock off the highway.
3/31/2023 @ 2:40 am. A reported stolen vehicle in the town limits of Rangely was involved in a rollover accident in front of the Loaf n Jug. The vehicle was unoccupied when law enforcement contacted the vehicle. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with the K9 track. No suspects were located.
3/31/2023 @ 12:45 pm. A traffic fatality occurred at the 13 mile-marker on Highway 64. The accident involved a semi and a utility truck. CSP responded to investigate the crash.
4/1/2023 @ 9:06 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted CSP in Moffat County for a one vehicle rollover near the 59 mile-marker on Highway 13. The driver was seen walking away from the vehicle. Deputies were unable to locate the driver while on scene.
