5/14/2023 @ 1:40 am. A mother and father walked into the Sheriff’s Office to report they didn’t want their adult son in the residence anymore due to verbal abuse. The adult son had not done anything criminal however, he did have a warrant that he was arrested on by Meeker PD and taken to Moffat County Jail.
5/15/2023 @ 11:33 am. Someone called 911 to ask the dispatcher to call another person to open the bedroom door for her as the door knob had fallen off. The residents were able to handle the situation without an officer responding.
5/15/2023 @ 8:14 pm. Plane spotters had to call the police for help after the gate to the cemetery shut them in and they were unable to get out.
5/17/2023 @ 8:51 pm. A resident on 12th St. decided it would be a good idea to park their vehicle in the middle of the street in order to slow people down. Officers responded and had the vehicle removed.
5/19/2023 @ 9:22 pm. A vehicle hit a deer at the 30 mile-marker on Highway 64. Several of the occupants in the vehicle were injured and were transported to the hospital.
5/20/2023 @ 9:36 pm. Someone reported a vehicle driving on the grass at Barone Middle School. That vehicle was the on-duty officer doing some patrol. The officer advised the dispatcher that he was in fact the vehicle at the middle school but was driving on the sidewalk and not the grass.
