ARRESTS
A 44 year-old male was arrested 5/5/24 on a Rio Blanco County warrant and transported to jail.
A 50 year-old male was arrested on 5/8/24 for DUI and weaving. He posted bond on 5/9/24.
CALL SUMMARIES
5/5/2024 @ 9:13 am. A pile of manure caught fire on a piece of property on County Road 4. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to the call and had the poop pile under control at 9:55 am.
5/6/2024 @ 10:12 am. A male party was trespassed from a property on County Rd 115 after he had been working on the property and items came up missing.
5/7/2024 @ 1:00 pm. A driver involved in a hit and run accident on Main St. in Meeker was located as she didn’t realize someone witnessed the accident and it was also caught on camera.
5/8/2024 @ 11:06 pm. A routine traffic stop turned into a DUI at Main St./Market St in Meeker after the driver failed roadside maneuvers. The driver was transported to jail.
5/9/2024 @ 5:18 pm. Baby Shark has become a popular song once again as it was played during a 911 hang-up call on 13th St.
5/10/2024 @ 9:43 am. Rifle PD requested assistance with locating a suspect who was involved in a fight that had occurred in their city. The suspect was located at a local gas station in Meeker.
5/10/2024 @ 5:38 pm. A traffic complaint called into the Communications Center resulted in a DUI when officers located the vehicle in the town limits of Meeker. The driver was issued a summons for Driving under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol.
5/11/2024 @ 7:32 pm. Two people were injured in an OHV rollover crash outside the town limits of Rangely. The injured parties were transported to the hospital. One person involved was issued a summons for Possession of a Weapon While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or a Controlled Substance.
