ARRESTS
11/13/2024- A 45 year-old male was arrested by Rangely PD on a warrant for Failure to Appear on a traffic offense. He was transported to jail.
11/13/2024- A 53 year-old male was arrested by Meeker PD for domestic violence charge. He was transported to jail.
CALL SUMMARIES
11/10/2024 @ 10:04 pm. A concerned relative of a hunter requested a welfare check in the Miller Creek area. The reporting party advised the dispatcher that when she spoke with them their voices sounded “shallow and winded.” Dispatch called the phone number for the hunters and they were okay and had just taken longer to get back to their camp than anticipated. They called dispatch at 10:57 pm. to advise they were fine and back at camp.
11/11/2024 @ 3:31 pm. A 4-wheeler hauling a trailer eluded a deputy near the 10th Street bridge. Eventually the driver stopped at the 1 mile-marker on County Road 4 and was cited for Driving Under Revocation and Careless Driving, Eluded a Police Officer, Vehicle had no Number Plates Attached, Vehicle not Equipped with Tail Lamps as Required.
11/11/2024 @ 7:59 pm. The same driver from the above call was contacted again at 10th/Main St in the town limits of Meeker. He was cited again for Driving Under Revocation.
11/12/2024 @ 1:09 pm. Dispatch received a call regarding a truck that was stuck down a ravine at the bottom of Rattlesnake Gulch. The occupants of the truck had food and were able to stay warm if they needed to stay the night due to extreme weather conditions and the fact that the road to them was unaccessible. The next day an off road capable tow responded and was able to get them out safely.
11/13/2024 @ 6:32 pm. Meeker PD and Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Office responded on a domestic at a local hotel. The male party was arrested for 3rd Degree Assault, Domestic Violence and Harassment. He was taken to jail.
11/14/2024 @ 3:25 pm. A one vehicle crash occurred at approximately the 8 mile-marker on County Road 8. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident.
