ARRESTS
11/23/2025- Meeker PD arrested a 31 year-old male on Driving a Vehicle with Blood Alcohol Content of 0.08 or more. He was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
11/25/2025- Rangely PD arrested a 26 year-old male on Violation of a Protection Order. He was taken to jail and released on a PR bond.
11/29/2025- Rangely PD arrested a 44 year-old male on a Mesa County warrant. He was taken to jail.
11/29/2025- Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 44 year-old male on 3 Failure to Appear Warrants out of Grand Junction. He was transported to jail and remains in custody.
CALL SUMMARIES
11/23/2025 @ 3:59 pm. An 8 year-old girl was reported missing from an address in Meeker. Approximately 15 mins after the report was made, she returned home safe and sound. She had just lost track of where she was riding her bike and went a little too far.
11/23/2025 @ 11:07 pm. A routine traffic stop by Meeker PD resulted in a DUI arrest in the 200 block of Market St. The driver was taken into custody, issued a summons and released to a sober party.
11/24/2025 @ 5:44 pm. A deputy responded to a spirited disagreement between a car and a deer on Highway 64. The deer won the first round, leaving the vehicle too damaged to drive. The driver accepted defeat gracefully and was issued a road-kill permit, ensuring nothing went to waste. No injuries were reported.
11/25/2025 @ 4:31 pm. A semi tanker rolled on Highway 13 near the 54 mile-marker. This caused a hazmat situation that closed the highway for several hours. The driver had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
11/27/2025 @ 9:03 am. A caller report a semi-truck driving too slow around every corner on Highway 64 which the caller felt suspicious because of “all the talks about semi drivers doing suspicious things.” Deputies were unable to locate the slow driver.
11/29/2025 @ 8:40 pm. A deputy assisted a BLM Officer on a routine traffic stop and the driver ended up having multiple warrants and a canceled/denied drivers license. He was taken into custody and given a ride to jail by the deputy.
