CALL SUMMARIES
11/27/2022 @ 12:52 am. Garfield County dispatch notified Rio Blanco County Communications Center of a rollover accident on Highway 13. After further investigation it was found that the vehicle was located off of a cliff in Garfield County on Highway 13.
11/27/2022 @ 6:58 am. A trespass was reported on Sulphur Creek Road. A vehicle was located on private property with footprints leaving the vehicle and heading west. The suspect was contacted by law enforcement and per the landowners’ request was given a warning.
11/27/2022 @ 8:49 am. A suspicious vehicle was reported near the 73 mile-marker Highway 64. A male party had been parked at the location for over 2 hours “sleeping.” Upon the deputy’s arrival and requesting an ambulance to check on the driver, it was determined that the driver was sleep deprived and stressed. The male driver got a ride to a nearby residence.
11/28/2022 @ 4:00 pm. Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Office responded to assist Colorado State Patrol with an uncooperative driver on Highway 13.
11/29/2022 @ 6:34 pm. A semi-truck knocked down a telephone pole at Flat Tops Fuel. The truck left the scene not knowing he had knocked down a pole and was stopped by Meeker Police Dept. at 7th & Main St.
11/30/20222 @ 7:46 pm. A car vs elk near the 46 mile-marker on Highway 139 was reported. The driver had minor injuries and elk had to be put down.
12/01/2022 @ 10:06 am. A traffic complaint was called into the Rio Blanco County Communications Center regarding a vehicle that almost ran two cars off the road and was passing on a double yellow on Highway 13. The vehicle was stopped by a Rio Blanco County deputy and was issued a warning.
12/2/2022 @ 11:44 am. A vehicle slid off the road on the top of 7th street in the town of Meeker. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was recovered by a tow truck.
12/2/2022 @ 2:13 pm. Meeker Police Dept. responded with Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept in regards to a tenant that was using a propane heater to heat their residence. The tenant was advised to use a heater that was rated for indoor residential use.
