ARRESTS

  • 29 yr. old male arrested 10-11-22 on a Failure to Appear warrant, PR bond granted 10-12-22 by Magistrate Shamis 
  • 53 yr. old male arrested 10-12-22 for DUI and careless driving cash bonded

CALL SUMMARIES

10/16/2022 @ 8:11 pm. In the area of Lost Creek, a local outfitter reported one of their hunters as missing. A search and rescue member flew with Classic Air Medical for a search of the area and found the hunter at approximately 11:00 pm. The hunter was picked up by the helicopter and taken back to his camp. 

10/16/2022 @ 2:21 pm. A traffic complaint was called into the Rio Blanco County Communications Center regarding 2 people that were leaning out of a vehicle and possibly one person standing on a running board. This occurred on Highway 64 near the 22 mile-marker. A deputy was unable to locate the vehicle

10/15/2022 @ 6:20 pm. 3 hunters were reported as trespassing at a ranch on County Road 8. The hunters were aware of their violation and stated it was “worth the risk.”  Colorado Parks and Wildlife issued a citation. 

10/15/2022 @ 4:39 pm. A male party got thrown from his horse near Sheriff Reservoir and was injured as a result. Routt County Search & Rescue/EMS responded due to the location being closer to their jurisdiction. 

10/14/2022 @ 7:14 pm. Car vs deer at the 53 mile-marker Highway 13. There were no injuries although the vehicle was not drivable. 

10/14/2022 @ 2:44 pm. An unoccupied vehicle at Watt’s Market hit another vehicle in the parking lot. No injuries were reported. 

10/13/2022 @ 10:29 pm. An upside-down travel trailer was discovered in the ditch near the 60 mile-marker of Highway 13. Upon investigation, Colorado State Patrol had already handled the situation. 

10/12/2022 @ 11:47 am. A call came into the Communications Center regarding a vehicle that had hit part of the building at Pioneers Medical Center. The male driver was arrested for DUI. 

10/12/2022 @ 9:11. A theft of a propane/electric grill was reported as being stolen from an address on Highway 139. There was no suspect positively identified.

10/11/2022 @ 8:49 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with a subject that had a warrant in the town limits of Rangely. Rangely PD transported the subject to Moffat County Detentions.
