CALL SUMMARIES
10/21/2024 @ 1:06 p.m. A citizen of Meeker wanted to report a suspicious incident that occurred as follows: the party claimed someone he had contact with caused his liver enzymes to spike and also, while riding with the suspicious person, they would quickly turn their head to the left and right without reason. A bottle of red nail polish had also been stolen from him.
10/23/2024 @ 9:01 a.m. Colorado Dept. of Transportation reported several signs that have gone missing within Rio Blanco County. They were able to provide possible suspect information.
10/24/2024 @ 3:29 p.m. A backhoe hit a gas line at an address on County Road 15. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded. The gas leak was controlled at 4:29.
10/24/2024 @ 10:35 p.m. While on a routine traffic stop near City Park, Meeker PD heard a loud crash. Upon the initial investigation it appeared the vehicle had backed into property in the parking lot and caused damage. The officer was unable to locate the driver, however after some time had passed, the male party appeared from the back of the camper that was attached to the vehicle he had been driving. The driver was cited for Driving with Excessive Alcohol Content, Careless Driving, Obstructing Government Operations and Backed Vehicle in Parking Area when not Safe.
10/25/2024 @ 9:15 p.m. A report of underage drinking and pallets burning in the area of the Poison Ivy Bypass Trail near Rangely was reported to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded and were unable to find any shenanigans.
10/26/2024 @ 4:18 p.m. A smoke report was called in near the China Wall area. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded and it was confirmed there was smoke from a coal seam on private property.
