ARRESTS
9/28/2025- Colorado State Patrol arrested a male party on a warrant during a routine traffic stop on Highway 13. The male was taken to jail.
CALL SUMMARIES
9/29/2025 @ 5:57 am. A traffic complaint came into the Communications Center regarding a hunter on an ATV that almost ran the caller off the road on BLM property. A BLM officer and deputies contacted the suspect later the same afternoon as he had been banned from public lands prior for this same sort of behavior. This is the first year he was allowed back on public lands. After further investigation the ATV hunter was warned and released.
10/1/2025 @ 8:47 am. An Apple crash detection alert came into the Communications Center at mile-marker 60 on highway 64. There was no crash however, the phone had fallen off a piece of equipment and was ran over which initiated the 911 call.
10/2/2025 @ 12:24 pm. A resident reported they shot their neighbor’s dog after it aggressively charged at them. The dog is deceased and the case is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
10/3/2025 @ 9:03 am. A concerned citizen flagged down a Meeker Police Officer regarding a possible drunk driver. The officer located and stopped the vehicle. It turns out the driver wasn’t drunk, they were simply taking in the views.
10/4/2025 @ 2:54 pm. A caller reported their vehicle stolen from the Meeker Airport. After a quick investigation, the car was located on the other side of the airport. Case closed, pride impacted.
10/4/2025 @ 3:59 pm. A small fire was reported approximately 9 miles up on County Road 7. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. had the fire contained at 6:13 pm.
