9/10/2025- A 27 year-old male was arrested by Rangely PD for Violation of a Protection Order and 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass
9/11/2025- A 45 year-old male was arrested by Rangely PD for Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Internet Luring of a Child. He remains in custody.

9/07/2025 @ 11:06 am. Local food truck rebrands as “Hot Potato Delivery” after scattering flaming spuds across the highway. Fire crews called in to help cool down the side dishes. #TooHotToHandle #HashBrownArson
9/8/2025 @ 8:43 pm. Deputies responded to a singe-vehicle rollover incident on County Road 17. Upon arrival, the vehicle was found unoccupied. A deputy located one of the vehicle’s occupants walking nearby, who stated that his friends were walking through the trees, attempting to return to their Airbnb. Shortly thereafter, two additional males emerged from the tree line. The occupants claimed there were no injuries. Colorado State Patrol is handling the investigation.
9/09/2025 @ 4:44 pm. An off-duty police officer called in a traffic complaint reporting that a truck was driving recklessly almost causing her to run off the road on Highway 13. A deputy located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. The elderly driver was unaware of her actions and was given a warning.
9/9/2025 @ 4:52 pm. A vehicle ran into a fence on private property on County Road 8 and left the scene. Deputies were able to locate the run vehicle at County Road 8 & Highway 13. Pro tip for future hit-and-run drivers; if half your car is still sitting at the scene, the officers don’t really need Sherlock Holmes to find you!
9/10/2025 @ 2:57 pm. A two car accident occurred at 7th & Water St in Meeker. One occupant was transported to the hospital. There were several reports of mud, debris and rocks on roadways due to the rain.
