Brennon LeBleu sported a fireman’s helmet and appeared to be quite happy surrounded by classic cars at the 20th annual Septemberfest Car Show.
In the chili cook-off, Derry Banta (left) one best green and best overall, Kevin Eyl (center) won best red, and Kane Kuck (right), age 9, won the people’s choice vote.
Old and young and every age in between gathered for the annual cribbage tournament at the Elks Lodge on Sunday.

Latham is the granddaughter of the late Davey Robertson and Cheryl Robertson of the Twin Buttes Ranch south of Rangely. The topic of Latham’s presentation was differences between cattle and beef production practices in five countries which import beef into the U.S. market.
Everyone loves ice cream. The ice cream social at the Rangely Outdoor Museum had seven entries. James Scoggins was the first place winner with jalapeño, René Harden earned second with Almond Joy, and Pauline Miller took third with mint chocolate chip.
This past weekend the Jr. High Volleyball team hosted Soroco on Friday, Sept. 2. The 7th A and 8th A both competed very well and ran the same rotation as the high school, but were unable to get the win. The 7th B and 8th B were able to defeat Soroco in a close three games. All the coaches are very excited about what they saw on the court this weekend, and are excited to travel to Steamboat this upcoming weekend to compete. Pictured is the seventh grade team warming up.
