Honest Abe on freeing the slaves

MEEKER I Students of Kristen Henderson’s and Pat Ibach’s fifth-grade classes at Meeker Elementary School, as well as Barone Middle School and Meeker High School students were delighted by John Voehl’s portrayal of Abraham Lincoln, one of America’s greatest presidents, on Feb. 19.

MACC set for second performing arts visit

MEEKER I The Meeker Arts and Cultural Council (MACC), in cooperation with the ERBM Recreation and Parks District and Meeker High School, is sponsoring a performing arts drama outreach program with Professor Timothy Pinnow, the department chair of the Colorado Mesa University’s theater arts department.

MEEKER I To commemorate the sesquicentennial anniversary of the presidency and life history of Abraham Lincoln, one of America’s greatest presidents, the Meeker Arts and Cultural Council (MACC) and the Rio Blanco County Historical Society (RBCHS) will jointly sponsor an encore performance by John Voehl of Littleton in mid-February.

Lincoln to return to Meeker

A mural that now adorns the east side of Shepherd’s Office Outfitters was unveiled and dedicated Friday afternoon after a torrential rain. Meekerpalooza festival to highlight music, arts

The inaugural Meekerpalooza Arts & Music Festival will kick off Friday with a series of arts-related events and a concert, continuing Saturday with more arts, food and a day and evening filled with live music.
