Lincoln re-enactment

Roughly 60 Meeker residents spent an educational two hours on April 14 at Meeker High School, learning firsthand about President Abraham Lincoln. John Voehl of Littleton captivated the audience at the free performance with stories and anecdotes about Lincoln’s childhood, young adulthood and his presidential years.

MEEKER I To commemorate the sesquicentennial anniversary of the presidency and life history of Abraham Lincoln, one of America’s greatest presidents, the Meeker Arts and Cultural Council and the Rio Blanco County Historical Society will cooperatively sponsor a reenactment by John Voehl of Littleton, Colo.
