Washington artist is two-time winner of art contest
MEEKER I Debbie Hughbanks of Loon Lake, Wash., won the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials art contest for a second time. Hughbanks was unable to attend the art reception but MCSCT art contest director Mary Francis and MCSCT director Maym Cunningham displayed her piece “Taking Control” in her absence.

MEEKER I Dennis Gellings from British Columbia won the 2008 Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials, not Dennis Edwards, who was incorrectly given credit in the Sept. 13, 2012, issue of the Rio Blanco Herald Times.
