Meeker hosts scrimmages

MEEKER I The school bells haven’t started ringing at Meeker High School yet but referee whistles were heard in both gyms last Saturday as the lady Cowboys hosted scrimmages with Grand Valley and Moffat County.

Refunds for WREA members

MEEKER I Members of White River Electric Association who paid electric bills in 1993 and 1994 will soon receive capital credit refund checks in the mail. The WREA board of directors annually reviews and pays out capital credit refunds to its members.

Loose Ends: Show and tell time

The beginning of school is usually the introduction of a time-honored tradition in the primary grade classroom: show and tell. Preschoolers and kindergarteners delight in sharing items they picked up during summer vacation or even a special rock or stick they found out in the yard.

Letter: Thankful parent

Words fall short when I try to describe what has gone into moving the Meeker Elementary School classrooms. I am just so amazed at how the Meeker School District staff has rallied, worked together and remained positive during this time.
