Tea Party meeting tonight
MEEKER | The Meeker Tea Party will be meeting at Kilowatt Korner Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. Former congressional candidate Bob O’Connell will speak and Jeff Madison is tentatively scheduled to answer questions regarding the Rio Blanco County master plan.
Goettel named sole superintendent finalist
MEEKER | After thorough review of three applications for the superintendent of the Meeker Schools by the board of education Tuesday, board president Mary Strang announced interim superintendent Susie Goettel as the sole finalist for the position. A contract will be offered in March.
Youth going UnderGrounD
MEEKER I Ask anyone over the age of 10 what there is for young people to do in Meeker and you’re likely to get a blank stare. With the exception of high school sports or going to the pool, there are few youth-friendly evening activities in rural communities.
