Dear Editor: From one concerned (and truthfully overwhelmed) taxpayer, business owner and special district board member; I attended a recreation district board meeting along with several other business owners from our small town.

Town to pay for electrical work

MEEKER I After some discussion, Meeker’s board of trustees agreed to set aside funds in the proposed 2012 budget to pay for electrical improvements at Ute Park.

MEEKER I It has been said that all good things must come to an end, but Range Call committee president Suzan Pelloni is convinced that it’s not time for Meeker’s traditional Fourth of July celebration to go the way of that old saying.
