Lincoln re-enactment set for this evening

MEEKER | MACC and the Rio Blanco County Historical Society have joined to cooperatively present John Voehl, a renowned Abraham Lincoln re-enactor in an evening production on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. at the Meeker High School auditorium.

MEEKER I To commemorate the sesquicentennial anniversary of the presidency and life history of Abraham Lincoln, one of America’s greatest presidents, the Meeker Arts and Cultural Council and the Rio Blanco County Historical Society will cooperatively sponsor a reenactment by John Voehl of Littleton, Colo.

New book about massacre released

RBC I The Rio Blanco Historical Society met Sunday for their first general membership quarterly meeting in 2012. The meeting was followed with a presentation by Bob Silbernagal on the topic of his newly-published book entitled “Troubled Trails” about the Meeker Massacre and the events that followed.
