August Piceance Basin tour open to public

RBC I The White River and Douglas Creek Natural Resource Districts will be hosting a Piceance Basin national resource tour on Aug. 13, open to the public. The tour will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., departing from the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds in Meeker.

Study of value of timber resource

RBC I The White River Conservation District (WRCD) commissioned a forest products literature review to determine the need for research on the percentage of beetle-killed lodgepole pine that would be available for high value cut stock. 

District seeks new board member

RBC I The White River Conservation District was established on June 23, 1964, with the mission to provide guidance and technical assistance to encourage and promote the wise use of all the natural resources within the district by private landowners and government land management agencies.
