The girls finished the game 68-56 with Sarah Kracht leading in points scored with 25 and steals with 12 and Hailey Knowles had 24 points.
With only one day of practice between, the team traveled to Baggs to take on the very tough Rattlers.
“Thursday at Little Snake River, it is not the easiest gym to play in and we were not prepared,” said Rogers. “We came out flat, weren’t moving our feet and couldn’t shoot”.

With two games down for the week, the Cowboys came back home to take on the Cedaredge Bruins
“We discussed it as a team and how we needed to be prepared because Cedaredge is second in the league and ranked in 2A,” commented Rogers. “I was really proud of our girls, Thursday’s game was very physical and our girls came out ready; we just couldn’t make a basket.”
At the end of the first quarter the game was 17-13 the Bruins the gap grew by half, but in the third the Cowboys closed it a bit, just not enough, final score 46-32.
“I feel like when you are walking through the line and shaking hands and the coach tells you, ‘man your team is tough’ it is a sign of respect for your team,” said Rogers.
Kracht once again hit double digits with 14 points, Hadley Franklin had nine rebounds, Knowles had seven and Ainsley Selle had six.
Saturday the team got another check in the win column when they beat Debeque 54-25.
