Meeker Dispatch Center administered 647 phone calls last week including 62 911 calls, answered 77 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and placed 196 outgoing calls. A total of 254 calls for service were created, 75 for the Sheriff’s Office, 96 for MPD.
Note the department breakdown of calls may differ from the total number reported due to individual incidents with multiple agencies responding.
• Law enforcement conducted 74 traffic stops
• Sheriff’s Deputies issued five citations on 20 stops
• MPD issued four citations on 54 stops
• Six crashes, two involving wildlife/animals, one injury accident. There were six assists with CSP.

• Nine 911 misdials/tests
• Four animal calls
• Four agency assists
• 13 business/security checks
• Seven civil papers served
• Four fire ban violations
• Seven motorist assists

• One each: civil, COVID transport, disturbance, fire, BLM fire, M-1 transport, ranch check, traffic crash, warrant arrest
MPD responded to 96 calls for service

• Four agency assists

• 17 business/residential checks
• Six citizen assists
• Two disturbances
• Six motorist assists
• Five suspicious incidents
• Two thefts
• Three traffic crashes
• Six traffic complaints

• One each: civil, fire, gas skip, juvenile problem, sex assault, warrant arrest
Meeker Fire and Rescue responded to 12 calls
• Six ambulance requests, two wildland fires, one traffic crash with injuries, two medical transports
Rio Blanco Detentions
• 12 current inmates, 11 males and one female
• One jail transports to or from another facility
• Six arrests, three by RBCSO and three from RPD
• Six inmates released/bonded
