MEEKER I At the last Meeker Beef meeting on March 4, the club discussed the importance of the country of origin forms.
Stacey Huddleson from the Vet Clinic spoke to our club about basic nutrition, parasite control and vaccinations that are vital for the health of beef cattle.
We also announced a poster contest that promotes beef/cattle. This is open to all 4-H and FFA members enrolled in beef projects. Posters are to be completed at the county fair, and money will be awarded to the first- and second-place winners in each age division. This contest is sponsored by the Rio Blanco County Cattlewomen.
The club’s next meeting is on April 1 at 6:30 p.m. All members will be doing demonstrations. These demonstrations will be decided by the club officers.
The Meeker Beef Club meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
