8th grade Panthers host Meeker

RANGELY | The eighth grade B and A boys’ basketball teams hosted games against Meeker last Thursday, Nov. 10. The B team played first and had a great game. They barely lost within the last minutes of play with a final score of 19-21. Top scorer for the game was Justin Cudo with 10, followed by Austin Davis with four, Anthony Lujan with three and RJ Richens with two. The A team also played a great game against the Cowboys closing the half behind 10-13. The Panthers really came together in the second half of the game which ended in a tie with a score of 28-28. Rangely was able to both dominate and keep their composure in overtime. They paved a way to victory, ending the game with a score of 34-30. Sydney Cole led the Panthers with 12 rebounds and 12 points. Justin Cudo (a seventh grader) really stepped up this week and contributed 10 points, RJ Richens followed with six points, Austin Davis had three points and Anthony Lujan had three points. The Panthers hosted Altamont on Tuesday.
