Rangely High School graduate Tobie Gasper encouraged to run for home base by head coach Paul Fortunato after hitting a home run, was selected to play in the 1A-2A all-state baseball game. The all-state game will be played June 2 at Machebeuf High School in Denver, beginning at 2 p.m. Gasper hit .537 this season with 27 RBIs, hit four home runs and was voted the team’s MVP. “Tobie had a great year and finished off his great career at Rangely High School with a phenomenal season,” Fortunato said. “It was a joy to coach Tobie for the last four years and wish I could have him for at least one more.” Gasper plans to attend CNCC in the fall.
