The Yellow Creek Federal 4-16-1 injection well is located 798 feet from the South line and 689 feet from the West line of Section 4, Township 1 South, Range 98 West, 6th P.M., Rio Blanco County, Colorado. BACKGROUND: Class II injection wells are permitted and regulated in such a manner as to prevent the contamination of underground sources of drinking water and to ensure fluid emplacement and confinement within the permitted injection zones. Class II injection wells are permitted to inject waste generated from oil and gas exploration and production operations. BOPCO L.P. proposes to dispose of produced water generated from their nearby oil and gas operations into the Yellow Creek Federal 4-16-1 injection well. BOPCO L.P. proposes to inject these fluids into the Sego Formation at depths ranging from 10,616 feet to 10,992 feet. The total measured depth of the Yellow Creek Federal 4-16-1 Injection well is 11,400 feet and is plugged back to 11,307 feet. Public comments are encouraged and will be accepted in writing at the Commission for a period of thirty (30) days after publication of this notice. Eligible households receive the first 8,000 gallons of water free each month (a savings of $24.00 per month). Usage over 8,000 gallons per month will be billed at the rate of $1.00 per 1,000 gallons. To qualify for the program, the total gross family income for all residents of the household must be less than one thousand, four hundred, sixty four dollars & seventy eight cents per month ($1,464.78 monthly) or seventeen thousand, five hundred, seventy seven dollars & thirty eighty cents ($17,577.38) per year as evidenced by the federal income tax return/s for all household members for the year of 2008.
