CNCC Rodeo Team sends 7 to nationals; ESPN will televise

RANGELY I The Colorado Northwestern Community College Rodeo Team has seven students competing this week at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo., this week.

Those qualified for the rodeo are six men and one woman, who will be competing for individual national titles and the men’s team, which will be competing for a team title as well.
The CNF Rodeo began on Sunday and will run through the finals on Saturday, and leading the Spartan cowboys and cowgirl is head coach Jed Moore.
Each contestant will compete in three rounds of competition during the week, and that will be followed on Saturday with the championship round, in which the top 12 in each event will compete for the national and team titles. The championship round will begin at 7 p.m.
“If you are planning to attend the rodeo, make a big neon sign supporting your favorite CNCC cowboy or cowgirl,” Moore said. “The CNFR will be broadcast on ESPEN, and they love the rowdy sign-waving fans.”
