Natural gas operators, area contractors and county agencies will partner with numerous Rio Blanco County service organizations to conduct the fourth annual trash removal project along County Road 5 this Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
With trash bags donated by the Colorado Department of Transportation, logistical oversight from the Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Department and the Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge’s safety coordination, local youth organizations will clean up the full 42-mile stretch of County Road 5. A lunch, hosted by the project donors, will be held following the cleanup.
Each of the oil and natural gas industry companies contributed monies up to $2,000. As a result, each youth volunteer group will receive $500 for their organization. Energy sponsors are EnCana, Enterprise, Halliburton, Shell, Williams and XTO. Also sponsoring are R&T Oilfield Services for supplies and Rio Blanco County support Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge Department and the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Department.
