MEEKER | The 2019 Meeker Volleyball season has come to an end. With an outstanding year of amazing memories, an undefeated league season and a fifth place at the state tournament, the Cowboys have nothing to hang their heads about. The Cowboys traveled to Denver last Wednesday to compete in their third state tournament. The Cowboys played Simla in their first round of games after having a bye the first matches on Thursday afternoon. The Cowboys beat Simla in three games. Staying in the winners bracket, the Cowboys played Limon on Friday afternoon where they unfortunately lost in five games by two points to the Badgers.
The Cowboys then moved to the loser bracket where they played the Wiggins Tigers at 8am on Saturday morning. The Cowboys played strong but lost the fourth set 30-28 to the Tigers which illuminated the Cowboys from the rest of the state tournament.
