MHS boys lose league basketball opener to Cedaredge Bruins 60-45

MEEKER I The Meeker High boys’ basketball team began its regular league play against a very tough Cedaredge team.

The Cowboys controlled the tempo for the first eight minutes, keeping it a four-point game.
Cedaredge had a big second quarter increasing the defensive pressure and scoring 21, taking a 10-point lead into the half.
Meeker made great adjustments at half and came out with an outstanding third quarter. Logan Hughes and Levi Dinwiddie led the team in scoring, assists and rebounds.
The final period went in the Bruin’s favor with the final score 60-45.
Meeker looks forward to a big weekend as they play Hayden tonight in Hayden, Caprock in Meeker on Friday, and go to Hotchkiss on Saturday in three league games.
