Charles Albert Crook, 67, of Fort Collins, Colo., passed away suddenly on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012.
Chuck was born in Meeker, Colo., to John and Blanche (Hilkey) Crook on July 16, 1945. He was graduated from Meeker High School in 1963 and enlisted in the Air Force in 1965. He trained to become a computer service technician, earned the rank of sergeant, and was honorably discharged in 1969.
He was employed as a computer service technician and moved to California for three years, then to Northglenn for three more. In 1975 he moved to Fort Collins. He retired in 2011.
Chuck loved the mountains, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed bowling with his friends in numerous leagues. But his favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren and his dog, Ginger.
Chuck is survived by his son, Stephen Crook and his wife Deanna of Johnstown, Colo.; his daughter, Tracy Sanders and her husband Kendal of Windsor, Colo.; two sisters, Merle Moyer of Meeker, Colo., and Betty Garver of Green River, Wyo.; four brothers, Walt of Warland, Wyo., Bob of Fallon, Nev., Bill of Colorado Spring, Colo., and Les Crook of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandsons, Ryan and Nathan Sanders and Tyler Crook; and three granddaughters, Sierra, Addison and Alexis Crook. He will also be missed by many others in his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Collin Sanders; and a nephew, Brent Crook.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Allnutt Funeral Home in Fort Collins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Donor Alliance, in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, Colo., 80526.
