Doris Webber Burge

Doris Webber Burge, 79, of Sun City, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Nov. 20, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born April 27, 1931 in Kansas City, Mo., to Gilbert and Lela Webber. She attended the University of Missouri where she was an active member in Tri Delta Sorority. Shortly after college she married Boise Burge Jr. of Kansas City and birthed two children, Bif and Lisa.
Doris was a loving mother and wife who truly enjoyed life. Her life’s journey as a teacher, a realtor and as a florist gently influenced many, she was also active in PEO. Later in life she moved to Arizona and met Howell Lacy. Together they enjoyed house boating and traveling in their RV.
Doris was very active in the Sun City Christian Church. She was devoted to her friends and she had a passion for making things beautiful around her, whether in her own home or others. Doris is survived by her children, Bif Burge and Lisa McCluer; their spouses Brenda Burge and John McCluer; and her grandchildren, Venessa Petermen, Jessica Burge, Katie McCluer and Alyssa Bayne.
Doris touched many lives with her gift of giving. She will be missed by all. Memorial gifts may be made to the Hospice of the Valley in Doris’ name.
