May Afton Bainbrick returned to our loving Heavenly Father on Sept. 22, 2012, at the Uintah Care Center from natural causes. May was born May 5, 1919, to Millard E. and Hazel M. (Taylor) Graham in Rifle, Colo. She married and later divorced Clyde Dalrymple. They were blessed with three children.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was short in statue at 4 feet 10 inches, but had the strength, courage and heart of a giant. She always had a great sense of humor, even up to her last days. As our mother, grandmother and friend, she will be missed.
She is survived by her brother, Clayton Graham of Meeker, Colo.; sister, Velma Hopper of Vallejo, Calif.; two daughters, Sharon Crook and Deborah (Steven) Cook both of Vernal, Utah; six grandchildren, Bobbi (Chuck) Brunson of Grand Junction, Colo., Shari (Ronnie) Plummer of Rangely, Colo., Conni (Kelley) Crook of Aurora, Colo., Alisa (Jason) Postma of La Point, Utah, Natalie (Casey) Shelton of Vernal, Utah, and Michael Cook of Logan, Utah; 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Emry Graham, Millard Graham, and Kenneth Graham; sister-in-laws, Bonnie Graham, Genevieve Graham; and son, Larry Dalrymple.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at the Vernal 9th Ward Chapel under the direction of Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
