College For Kids a flying success

Ranger Randy explains to junior rangers how the Dinosaur National Monument was formed.

RANGELY I Colorado Northwestern’s College For Kids program wrapped up this week as six courses during three weeks taught 25 children what makes airplanes fly, who lives in desert environments and how to find buried treasure.

CNCC ropes course completed

The ropes (or challenge) course has been built on the CNCC Rangely campus and the next step will be to train facilitators before the course will be used. CNCC plans to train 20 facilitators from both the college and the local community. Photo by Denise Wade
