RBC — Incidents reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office significantly increased during April 2009, with a 17.3 percent increase in activity compared to April 2008.
Law Enforcement Activity for May 8-14
MEEKER — The former Rio Blanco County Historical Society’s volunteer treasurer — charged with using the organization’s funds for personal use — will spend 90 days in jail and was placed on probation for 10 years.
RANGELY — Another arrest was made last weekend in an ongoing drug case.
RANGELY — A 45-year-old man was arrested April 21 during an undercover operation and charged with possession of and selling methaphetamine, a Class 3 felony.
RBC — The combined incidents for the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and the Meeker Police Department modestly increased during March 2009, with a 4.3 percent increase in activity compared to March 2008.

MEEKER — Shelly Flannery, former treasurer for the Rio Blanco County Historical Society, pleaded guilty last Friday to one count of theft of $1,000 to $20,000, a Class 4 felony, with recommendation for probation, said Anthony Mazzola, investigator for the 9th Judicial District.
