MEEKER — Meeker High School graduate Joe LeBlanc, currently a redshirt freshman on the University of Wyoming’s wrestling team, finished third in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.

Cowboy wrestlers finish fifth in West Grand tournament

MEEKER — Five Meeker High School wrestlers placed in the top four to give the Cowboys a fifth-place finish in last Saturday’s West Grand tournament in Kremmling.

Doll takes second place at Delta wrestling invite

MEEKER — Cowboy senior Jared Doll finished second last Saturday in the Delta Invitational wrestling tournament. Five other Meeker wrestlers won matches and placed in the top six.

Panthers knock off pair of defending state champions

RANGELY — The Panthers completed a busy week of wrestling by defeating two defending state champion teams and going 7-2 in duals. Rangely traveled to Parachute last Thursday for a dual with the defending state champions, Grand Valley. This dual was a dogfight from the start with many matches decided in the final seconds.

MEEKER — Many Colorado wrestling fans were treated to the opportunity of watching Henry Cejudo win two state titles a few years ago in the Pepsi Center. Since then, the 21-year-old has won an Olympic gold medal and will speak in Meeker Nov. 28.
