Meeker Locals

Is it any coincidence Tax Day and National Stress Awareness Month are both in April? Lots of Americans are coming up short-handed when they finish their income taxes this year. Blame it on the Making Work Pay Credit, a provision of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Meeker’s peewee wrestlers celebrated after having 23 wrestlers place, including seven crowned as champions, at a tournament last Saturday at Craig. The team has a home meet April 17.

Meeker peewees crown seven champs at Craig

MEEKER I Thirty-two peewee wrestlers from Meeker competed in the Craig tournament Saturday and 23 placed in the top four, including seven champions. Brothers Kelton and Casey Turner, Tannen Kennedy, Wyatt Pfau, Jake Shelton, Colton Wille and Cody Nielsen all won their respective brackets.

Rangely opens season

RANGELY I The track season is off and, well, running. U.S. Census assistance centers in county

RBC I The U.S. Census has Questionnaire Assistance Centers available to help people who have questions. In Rio Blanco County, a center is located in the Fairfield Community Center in Meeker, the Rangely Town Hall and the Rangely Regional Library.
