The Meeker High School wrestling team enjoyed their banquet on Thursday, April 28, at Kilowatt Korner.
J.C. Henderson and J.R. Crawford earned the Most Valuable Wrestler awards for 2011 and Kelly Denny was awarded Most Improved. The team wanted to give a special thanks to head coach Joe Gutierrez and assistant coach Lee Overton, Taylor Bair, Lani Mataia and Alexis Gutierrez, the team’s three wonderful trainers. A very heartfelt thank you goes to Stanley and Vicky Crawford from all of the parents for keeping their most prized possessions safe during the long snowy drives around the region. Since there were no senior wrestlers on the team this year, all of the boys stood up and shared their favorite memories from the year, which are always fun to hear. Thank you Meeker for supporting our 2011 Meeker High School wrestlers!
