MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboy Golf team had a weather related break but was able to hit the links Monday for a wonderful day of golf at River Valley Ranch (RVR); their first individual tournament this year.

Steve VanDyke is the head pro and director of golf and husband of Jennifer VanDyke (Cook), daughter of Jim and Debbie Cook of Meeker.
“Steve and his team have done a wonderful job bringing back RVR to what I remember RVR to be”, commented Back, “a well manicured, challenging fun golf course.
RVR has a lot of bunkers, “and the girls excelled,” said Back. “To say I am proud is an understatement.”

“The girls did awesome, and for their very first individual stroke play tournament in there lives they did amazing,” commented Back.
Tuesday Hailey Knowles played a solo round at Rifle Creek.
“Hailey did great Tuesday, the back nine in Rifle is tough”, concluded Back. “This is her second tournament and it is wonderful the experience she is getting.”
