ARRESTS
10/28/2024- A 53 year old male was arrested for DUI by Meeker PD. He was released to a sober party.
CALL SUMMARIES
10/28/2024 @ 5:22 pm. A truck went off the road near the 19 mile-marker on County Road 8 to avoid a head on crash with a semi. The single occupant was transported to the hospital. Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash.
10/28/2024 @ 6:54 pm. A routine traffic stop at 10th/Main St. resulted in a DUI arrest. Meeker PD arrested the male driver and he was later released to a sober party.
10/29/2024 @ 10:31 am. Hunters came into the Sheriff’s Office to report that a vehicle occupied by their fellow hunters had become stuck on County Rd 129. Approximately 10 minutes later they came back into the Sheriff’s Office to advise their friends were able to get out on their own and there was no longer any need for assistance.
10/30/2024 @ 10:05 am. An Apple phone notification came into the Communications Center requesting emergency services. Eventually the Sheriff was able to make contact with the wife of the watch owner. She was able to contact her husband who had “mistakenly” sent the emergency message.
10/30/2024 @ 3:14 pm. The Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept was dispatched to an address in the town limits of Meeker for a call where a child had sprayed water into an electrical outlet. The homeowners were evacuated. The fire dept. turned the house back over to the owners at 3:43 p.m.
10/31/2024 @ 9:37 am. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with traffic control after an injury accident occured in the town limits.
11/2/2024 @ 6:00 pm. A landlord/tenant dispute has created almost daily calls into the Communications Center. Deputies have referred the parties to the courts to proceed with the eviction process so the rights of the property owner and the tenant are protected.
