ARRESTS
1/17/2025- A 29 year-old male was arrested on a warrant out of Moffat County and transported to jail. He remains in custody.
CALL SUMMARIES
1/14/2025 @ 5:57 pm. A female was bit by a coyote while she was checking on her chickens at a residence on the east side of the county. The coyote was shot and turned over to Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The victim did sustain injuries.
1/14/2025 @ 10:04 pm. A theft of approximately 450 feet of cable was reported stolen from Deserado Mine. A suspicious vehicle was seen in the area in the early morning hours. The investigation is ongoing.
1/16/2025 @ 12:36 pm. It was reported there was a mobile home on fire on County Road 7. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept responded and had the fire out at 1:18 pm. There were no reported injuries.
1/17/2025 @ 5:04 pm. Deputies did an attempt to locate for a male party that had a warrant near BLM Rd. 1088. The warrant was for Burglary and Violation of a Protection Order. The male party had also been listed as a missing person. A relative of the male found his dog in the area. A BLM Officer and two deputies found the subject at a camp in the area. He was placed into custody without incident.
1/17/2025 @ 8:31 pm. A one vehicle rollover accident near the 49 mile-marker on Highway 64 resulted in injuries to the single occupant. Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident.
