Special to the HT
MEEKER |The Meeker Chamber of Commerce continued supporting local businesses, assisting visitors, and promoting Meeker tourism throughout April.
In April, the Chamber assisted 75 individuals with questions related to lodging, dining, maps and directions, hunting and fishing, local businesses, and general community inquiries through in-person, phone, and online interactions. Visitor information packets were also mailed to individuals in Grand Junction, Colorado, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Work continues on Phase 2 of the Meeker marketing campaign, led by Vinrock Media, with strong performance across social media and YouTube. The campaign has reached more than 75,000 individuals, generated nearly 150,000 impressions, and produced more than 25,000 engagements, along with increased website visits, itinerary downloads, and visitor guide requests. The Chamber thanks the Meeker Lodging Tax for supporting a portion of this effort.
The Chamber recently hosted two business education classes, including “AI Made Simple” and a social media marketing class led by Social Media Madi. The final class in the series, a Bookkeeping Bootcamp, will take place May 8. An open house was also held with the Northwest Colorado Development Council and the Northwest Catalyst Capital Fund, highlighting low-interest loan opportunities for local and emerging businesses.
The Chamber has also joined the Rio Blanco Watershed Restoration Collaborative as a stakeholder and continues preparations for its first annual golf tournament on May 30. Community members, businesses, and visitors are all welcome to participate, with sponsorships due May 7.
The 2026 Meeker Chamber of Commerce Community Directory is expected to arrive by mid-May and will be distributed throughout the community. The Chamber is also pleased to welcome several new members: Leblanc Construction, B&K Rolloff Service, and The Health Partnership.
Uplift Meeker continues working on community wayfinding and signage, including transitioning to vertical banners along Highway 13 due to wind and safety considerations. The “Pioneers in Paint” mural series is also expanding, with a title sign created by Ben Quinn, a new community paint-by-number mural featuring Theodore Roosevelt planned for Meeker Markets, and plaques being added to existing murals. Uplift is also seeking a local contractor or skilled woodsman to help create a new “MEEKER” photo installation at Town Park. The Chamber also attended the Main Street Now Conference on behalf of Uplift Meeker, bringing back ideas to support ongoing downtown revitalization efforts.-
