Fire Preparedness Day at Meekerpalooza
MEEKER | The Conservation Districts and Forest Health Partners invite the community to a free Fire Preparedness Bootcamp for Landowners on Friday, July 17, from 5-7 p.m. on the Courthouse lawn. Topics include defensible space, home hardening, chainsaw and fire extinguisher safety, slash management and more. Smokey Bear and a fire truck will also be on site. The event is held with Meekerpalooza and the White River Electric Member Appreciation Event. Call 970-878-9838 for information.

Free Day: Bounce & Splash July 11
MEEKER | ERBM is opening the doors for Free Day at MRC on Saturday, July 11, as a thank-you to the community! Enjoy complimentary entry to the entire Meeker Recreation Center facility from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., alongside open swim and giant inflatables at zero cost.
• Pool Hours: Open swim for all ages runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Inflatables: Outdoor lawn inflatables are open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting); indoor pool inflatables run from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Rules: Children ages 7 and under must be supervised in the water by someone 13 or older at all times. All other pool rules apply. Questions? Call the Front Desk at 970-878-3403.
Splash & Dash Youth Triathlon Aug. 8
MEEKER | ERBM is launching its First Annual Splash & Dash Youth Triathlon on Saturday, Aug. 8. Designed for kids ages 6–12, this event offers a fun, friendly introduction to multi-sport events. Walking Club Wednesday mornings
MEEKER | Step into the summer sunshine with ERBM’s new Walking Club, meeting every Wednesday morning through Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon (meet at the MRC Upper Parking Lot). This free activity is open to adults (18+) to help you get some healthy movement and enjoy great conversation while exploring Meeker.
Geezer Gather Tuesdays through Aug 4
MEEKER | Gentlemen aged 62 and older are invited to drop by the Meeker Recreation Center for Geezer Gather, a weekly social meetup Tuesdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the MRC Lounge. Enjoy coffee or tea, fresh donuts, and good old-fashioned conversation with fellow local seniors. Free to attend!

• Tiny Open Gym (ages 1–4 with parent/caregiver): Tuesdays from July 7–28, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Admin Gym
• Little Open Gym (Ages 4–6): Thursdays, July 9–30 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Admin Gym
• Youth Open Gym (Ages 7–10): Thursdays, July 9–30 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Meeker
Elementary School
• Youth Open Gym (Ages 11–15): Fridays, July 10–31 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Meeker Elementary School.
