MEEKER | The largest fundraiser for the Meeker Cowboys football team is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23 at the Meeker Golf Course.
The annual Meeker Cowboy Kickoff Classic is a four-man scramble and teams are paired up at random day of the tournament. The 18-hole tournament is $85 to play and that includes a cart and t-shirt. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by and free ice cream social, open to the entire public, at 5 p.m. Registration for the tournament is open until teams are chosen on Aug. 23.
This year there is a new silent auction with bidding from 12-6 p.m. at the clubhouse. The team is accepting donations; for any questions or to make a donation please reach out to head coach Shane Phelan at 970-878-5642.
