Meeker rolls over Rifle on 18 QB sacks

MEEKER I The fifth- and sixth-grade Meeker Mustangs dominated Rifle on Sunday afternoon, 22-0, sacking the quarterback 18 times.
Recording sacks for Meeker were: Kash Atwood 6, Tyler Pollack 3, Austin Bradford 2, TJ Shelton 2, Devon Pontine 2 (with one being a safety), Joshua Cochran 2, and Tyler Ilgen 1, with help from Caleb Bradford, Chase Rule, Jacob Nielsen and Casey Turner. Also, Robbie Jensen had two interceptions. Rifle ended the game with minus yardage.
Offensively, Jacob Henderson ran for big yardage, Devon Pontine scored his first rushing touchdown of the season, Sheridan Harvey ran for two touchdowns, and Shelton completed a pass to Chase Rule for a two-point conversion.
